01.06.43 2x aircraft heavily damaged by bombing at Capodichino.

11.07.43 362th squadron. Shot down by spitfires in the Augusta or Siracusa area during escort to RE2002's. Ten. Carlo Nitoglia missing in action

11.07.43 (or 12.07.43). 362th squadron. Missing near Catania-Sigonella airport. From allied papers it seems it has been shot down on 11.07.43 by defensive fire while attacking alone a formation of B17's from 2nd B.G. (coming from a group of ME109's and RE2001's), or maybe ditched into water because of problems with oxygen system and following sickness of the pilot. The same Bombing Group mentioned they were attacked by 3 RE2001's (probably RE2005's) on the Catania area on 11.07.43. S.Ten.  Traiano Dilissano missing in action.

15.07.43 150th squadron. Shot down and ditched into water near Castel dell'Ovo, in the Napoli bay. M.llo Guerrino Prodi missing in action

29.07.43 362th squadron. Shot during combat. Ten. Eugenio Salvi survived.

21.08.43 362th squadron. Emergency landing with retracted gear, then destryed by collision with a german fighter. Serg. Ugo Ibello  survived.

19.04.44 from german source, on 19.04.44 at Airasca, Fw. Rinke damaged at 40% a RE2005 by nosing over during landing. In force at Ld.Kdo. Italien
092237

Found burned at CapodichinoFrom british sources. Another burned RE2005 was found there

Notes:
- According to a source i aircraft MM096102, 096107, 096109, 096111, 096112 were in Maniago in 01.1944
- According to a german source on 19.04.44 at Airasca, Fw. Rinke damaged by 40% a RE2005
- On 31.07.44 Fliegerzielstaffel 20 had 4 out of 5 operational RE2005
- According to british sources, in Catania, in 07.1943, 5 RE2005's were found: MM484, MM092346, MM092354, il 362-7 in fair conditions, one completely burned.
- According to british souces in Capodichino 2 RE2005's were found burned. One of them had an unknown number, maybe to due miswriting, the MM092237
- According to british sources in Capua only the aircraft MM092351 was found (crashed and wrecked)
- No evidence has been found so far about RE2005's moved to USA (that means also the information about the display in the air show in Cleveland in 1946)
- No evidence has been found so far about RE2005's used for the defense of Germany. It's also not realisitc as the elliptical shaped wing of RE2002 led to enemy misdetection by german flak and it was then decided not to use such kind of aircraft
- On 11.07.43, in the Catania area, 2nd lt. Traiano Dilissano left the group during flight and disappeared with his RE2005. He was never found, maybe disappearing in the sea. According to allied sources on that day and in that area a RE2001 was shot down by the 2nd B.G. That RE2001 was out of a group of RE2001's and Me109's. RE2005's were often misdetected as RE2001's because of similar shapes.
- 18-27.02.43: comparison test flights performed by a german commission in Guidonia testing RE2005/G55/MC205
- Changes made for Luftwaffe required the inversion of the throttle run
- Regarding weapons of RE2005 MM495 Mr. Govi states that the installation of the final setup  3x20mm e 2x12.7mm was done in 06/07.43. According to recent documents from R.A. those weapons are already installed by 11.42.
- From 01.07.43 to 13.07.43 10 RE2005 units are used in Catania, according to italian papers
- a picture shows engne M.M. 47999 installed on a RE2005
