Production overview:
- 1 prototype MM 494
- 100 aircraft MM 7309-7408, serie I
-  90 or 100 aircraft MM 8644-8743, serie II. The ones heavily damaged by the bombings on Reggiane on 07-08.01.44 were disassembled and their components used as spare parts for the other ones. The ones not built at that time will never assembled.
-  60 (or 70 or maybe only 25 or 34 completed) aircraft at Caproni in Taliedo. Frame numbers should be 97901-97960, then transformed by Germans into 5201-5260, serie III (lower engine centerline).

- According to Curami-Gambarini: completed up to 97903 until 08.09.43 and up to 90927 in 1944.
- According to another source Luftwaffe papers mention Werk Nummer from 5217 to 5231 and 5343.
- According to a german source 10x RE2002 were picked up at 50° Stormo at Lonate Pozzolo and 10x RE2002 at Reggio. Other 15x were assembled in Reggio before the bombing on Reggiane on 07.01.44. Other 25x were assembled at Caproni di Taliedo.
 - According to Mr. Govi Luftwaffe used 100 aircraft in total:
- 50 taken from Reggiane after 08.09.43
- 25 taken from Caproni at Taliedo
- 10 from 50th Wing at Lonate Pozzolo
- 10 ready at Reggiane on 08.09.43

 - 11.03.44 17 aircraft are transferred from Treviso to Neuburg an der Donau: 1250, 1236, 1255, 1233, 1252, 1181, 1235, 1221, 1143, 1232, 1229, 1237, 1179, 1166, 1134, 1126, 1118 #
 - the aircraft "90 black" found on 09.44 at Nancy-Essey damaged at 100% (according to Jet&Prop del 1/93) is actually a Fiat G50. It can be noticed by details of the picture such as the pilot's position is located aft of the wing trailing edge, not compatible with a RE2002 (on the wing). The panel hanging from the right side was used n G50, and the fuselage bottom is somehow flat (see the markings). Another element is the negative dihedral angle wing at fuselage-wing junction, typical of G50 and not of RE2002. The flight group could be the JG.107 according to the type of markings and airfield used.
 - In a list that can be found onon internet Werk Nr. 4607 e 4611 are mentioned. Actually 4607 is 1256 and 46407 is its engine number. Hence probably also 4611 could not be a Werk-Nr., also due to the lack of any evidence about this number.
  - 31.07.44 6 aircraft are moved from Milano-Genova-Torino area to Lyon: 5217, 5220, 5221, 5222, 5224, 5225 #
  - 11.09.44 6-9 aircraft are moved around 11.09 from Treviso to Bonn.
 - 09.10.44 4 aircraft were located at Koeln-Ostheim 5224, 5226, 5227, 5229 #

According to a document dated 09.03.1951 by the Caproni insolvency practitioner, the situation of aircraft built for the Germans is as following:
 - "At september 8th 1943 no aircraft was delivered, even though much effort was ongoing".
 - "Germans decided to complete only 70 out of 300 aircraft under construction, considering completion speed".
 - "Those 70 aircraft were completed and invoiced in the period from 18/4/44 to 2/10/1944 and later were wrecked within 3/4/45".

- 2 aircraft that were apparently assembled in Biella were actually built at Reggio (1117 e 1265).
