GIUSEPPE PAMBIANCHI


Born in Senigallia on il 05.10.1908.

In 1932 he graduated in aeronautical engineering at Politecnico di Torino.

After receiving his private pilot license, he attended the military service and spent some training period in Germany.
From 19.11.1934 to 1936 he worked for l'IMAM (Industrie Meccaniche Aeronautiche Merdionali) in Napoli, where he worked on Ro.37 and Ro.41.
From 01.11.1936 to 15.02.1938 he was  Head of Ufficio Tecnico Aviazione in Reggio Emilia at Societa' Studi e Brevetti Caproni.
Later, from 01.03.1938 to 15.10.1941 he joined Reggiane as Head of Aircraft Design Dpeartment. He worked on the design of RE 2000 and RE 2001.
From 16.12.1941 he worked for Societa' Caproni in Taliedo (MI).
On 16.12.1943 he started working for Piaggio as Director of Ufficio Tecnico Progetti at Pontedera plant (PI).
On 31.12.1945 Mr. Pambianchi left Piaggio but he was called back in 1947 to setup the sales department in order to selll Vespa.

He passed away on 23rd April 1960 in Ancona.
